Abstract
Introduction. Blood serum is a complex system in which all its elements are structured in a certain way. Blood serum anisomorfons are an objective criterion of homeostasis state that suggests a certain relationship between the specific type of serum anisomorphons and the degree of disturbance of erythrocyte deformability in various pathological conditions.
Aim: to identify the relationship between peculiarities of the system organization of blood serum and genesis disturbances of erythrocytes deformation in patients with bronchial asthma (BA).
Materials and methods. We studied blood rheological properties and morphological pattern of blood serum in 56 patients BA, divided into 2 groups according to the degree of disease severity: group 1 — 30 patients at the stage of disease recrudescence; group 2 — 26 patients in the stage of incomplete remission with a high risk of BA exacerbation. Age of patients ranged from 18 to 76 years, duration of disease — from 3 to 50 years. The study of blood serum by the method of marginal dehydra- tion was carried out with the help of a special test-chart of diagnostic kit «Litos-system» allowed for use in clinical practice. According restorative treatment at admission to hospital patients with BA received basic conventional therapy and photogemo-therapy (FGT) with blue light using the «Solaris» device for intravascular irradiation of blood through disposable light guides.
Results. The morphological picture of the noncellular part of the blood demonstrates and confirms the presence of specific changes that characterize a certain BA phenotype. The composition of serum anisomorphons is an objective criterion of therapy effectiveness. Interrelations between the structural construction of blood serum facies and the degree of disturbance of the erythrocyte deformability were not revealed.
Conclusion. In patients with different BA phenotypes the erythrocyte deformability was changed to the same extent, and the structural construction of blood serum facies before exposure to blue light had specific peculiarities. After FGT with blue light, the morphological pattern of blood serum in both groups of patients corresponded to an objective improvement in the clini- cal state of patients, but did not reflect the relationship between the specific structure of blood facies characteristic of a cer- tain BA phenotype and the increasing of erythrocyte deformability in the same groups of patients.
