Abstract
The effectiveness of fi brinolytic therapy is limited by blood factor XIII (FXIII) infl uence. In present work we investigated the FXIII role in providing of clots resistance to fi brinolytic agents under fl ow conditions. It was shown that effectiveness of fi brinolysis was greatly depended on clot formation stage by the time of fi brinolytic injection. If fi brinolytic agent was injected a few minutes after primary microclots detection, the effectiveness of fi brinolysis significantly decreased. The experiments showed that as in case of timely and as well as in case of delayed injection, the effectiveness of fi brinolysis increased in presence of FXIII inhibitor. Obtained results demonstrate that FXIII signifi cantly increases fi brin clot resistance to fi brinolysis within the fi rst minutes of their formation.
