Abstract
Summary. On May 14, 2025, the Russian Government approved new Rules for the Collection, Storage, Transportation and Clinical Use of Donor Blood and its Components (hereinafter referred to as Rules-641), which will come into force on September 1, 2025. The review describes the positive, negative and strange innovations of Rules-641. The creative implementation of the new Rules-641 will allow the blood service to reach new levels of blood component quality and the effectiveness of transfusion therapy.
